Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday last week - I spent my birthday in the fair city of Brighton, a place which if you ever come to the UK, I would recommend you go visit. Lovely city.

Of the good relating to my birthday A 'Bloodbath' tag by [livejournal.com profile] wiccagirl24 which is just made of awesome. Also 'From Out Of The Rain' (Torchwood 210, which I haven't seen yet :() - aka the Peter Hammond episode. I get to see this tonight, but from what I have heard it is a good one - but from the creator of Sapphire and Steel and of one of the scariest episodes of the first season ('Small Worlds') - I'd expect nothing less.

Of the bad - LJ brought the wank for my birthday. Sigh. I'm part of the silent majority they speak of. They're a business and they're selling a product. It could be a hell of a lot worse - they could crack down on copyright infringment on behalf of the holders. You don't need to be a librarian to know that the current snafu would be a walk in the park in comparison.

Of the future - y'all know that the first Doctor Who trailer will be shown this Saturday about 7pm UK time? Now you do;) Should know tomorrow whether Series 4 starts on 5th April or 12th April. Obviously, as soon as is known I'll pass it along. That internet truck needs to be booked you know;)

Now, has anyone seen my muse?

So - a couple of days ago, I pulled up Apple Trailers to look at the trailer for Wall.E. Unfortunately, trailers are a bit like Pringles for me. One is never enough, so... here are my thoughts on trailers and films that look good for the future.

Wall.e aka Becky's favourite movie of '08. Yes, I know it doesn't open for another three months but... it's Pixar! Honestly, if you don't react with a smile or a laugh to this trailer then... please check your pulse.

Iron Man - this looks to be made of complete awesome. The cast is high calibre and whatever it's budget it shows up on the screen. I don't know much about the comic (other than the basics) but it has the potential to be as good as the first two X-Men films. Looking forward to it.

Get Smart - this made me think of two things. a) that Terence Stamp is made of awesome and b) if this succeeds, does this mean that they'll destroy remake Man from UNCLE next?

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Squee. That is all!

Speed Racer - from the same directors as The Matrix, which is still one of the greatest SF films evar!. A word of warning to those of you who suffer migraine headaches, you're not having an attack - it really is *that* colourful! Personally I am curious about this - I'll go see it when it opens.

As for this weekend - I'm hoping to see The Other Bolyen Girl, 100,000 BC and Bringing Up Baby over the Easter Weekend. Thoughts, opinions etc on these choices and the trailers gratefully received.

this is made of awesome! I've already invested in the glasses brooch. I want the earrings next.
