101 Movies in 2011 - Movie #9 The Fighter

I am amassing quite a backlog of these, so I shall try and keep the ones I still have to do short and sweet. That shouldn't be too difficult with this film.

Yes, it was a good, worthy film but I only have to say one thing. Okay, two if you include the fact that Micky and Dickie's sisters were *scarily* familiar (no, my family are *not* like that... most of the time!). That one thing is this:

Dear AMPAS - give Christian Bale the Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Lots of Love - Me.

Yes, Bruce Wayne deserves the damn statue. He didn't get the BAFTA mask but he deserves the damn statue. You're going to screw over Chris Nolan and Inception for 'inferior' movies (My Blog, My Opinions!) - so give me this.

Or not.

Anyway - Bale & Walberg were a*maze*ing in this film. The rest of it was okay - but then boxing was never a subject that interested me. Mileage May Vary.
