Mr Nicolas and Mrs Mikaela Seddon - aka Mr Nicolas and Mrs Mikaela Monster!
So - the wedding went as well as any wedding could. Yes, there were hiccoughs (such as the Bride starting to cry during the declarations - which set her *entire* family off!) but they were tiny little snags on what was a damn fine day.
The Church - which was in the middle of bloody nowhere! Thankfully the reception venue was just around the corner. Abiding memory (for me) has to be running along a deserted road with a direction sign in hand thinking that if anyone jumped out the bushes - they'd be beaten to death with a four foot metal pole!
The flowers - very pretty, I'm sure you'll agree!
The bridal car - just like Auric Goldfinger's car from Goldfinger. Yes, even on my sister's wedding day - I R A BIG GEEK!
Even Mr Spock got dressed up for the big day! (see comment above about being a ginormous dork!)
The Bride with two of her Bridesmaids. For those of you who know me - it goes (from Left to Right) Sibling Unit #4, Sibling Unit #2, Sibling Unit #3. The latter who brought her new(ish) boyfriend to the wedding. To his credit, he didn't run away screaming (which is a perfectly rational thing to do!) He seems like a good chap - even when SU #3 and he were getting the 'Oh you'll be next!' comments.
Yes, my dad did make the '1 down - 3 left!' comment in his speech... but I won't hold that against him as he cried too (Dad is the archetype of stoic - never seen him cry before).
And lastly (but never leastly)...
A family (or at least half of it!) photo - again, SU #3, the Mummymonster (relieved that it's all over!) and me. Looking nothing like I usually do - presentable doesn't even *begin* to cover it!
So - yes, that's that over and done with. After over 30 years, I now has a brother. Weird!
