Just a quick posting - the hotel has internet access, who knew?
Cardiff is lovely. It will look even better once they've finished building it (never seen so many building sites in such a short space of place). I have walked past so many filming sites it's not even funny anymore.
My hotel is very nice (apart from the monster eating bedsheets) - it's just across the river from the Millenium Stadium. Which I'm hoping to visit before I go.
The weather has taken a turn for the worse today. The River Taff is trying to retake Cardiff by airdrop! Even so, I have plenty of photos tobore you all silly regale you with when I get back home and load them up.
Things of note:
Cardiff Bay - yes, it is that striking. Goes twice for the Millenium Centre.
Doctor Who filimin locations - are frakking everywhere!
Cardiff Castle - Owned and made beautiful by a Scotsman but belongs to Wales... remind you of anything?;)
Seeing signs in two languages - I keep thinking I'm in Ireland!
Walking down St John's Street and seeing three people putting a Christmas Tree up... in July.
Transformers is made of awesome
Ditto the remastered version of Goldfinger
Seeing Doctor Who being filmed
Taking numerous photos
Discovering the greatest hot chocolate in the world EVAR
Finding out that the location that was used for the hospital in 'New Earth' does indeed have a 'little shop'. Named after the village where The Prisoner was filmed.
Seeing costumes for Doctor Who at the DW exhibition - The Ood had been taken away (how... interesting!) and that David Tennant is one lanky so and so! Still love #9#s leather jacket.
Okay - I have breakfast to forage and postcards (from aforementioned little shop!) to send. Not to mention plenty of other things to do and see before I go home tomorrow.
