This would be a scattershot entry...;)
Have uploaded new icons - mainly bases but all are pretty. They obviously reflect some of my loves in life, books, the far east, Calvin and Hobbes;) If you click on the icons link on the right you'll see them.
I hope I've given credit where it is due;)
Can someone remind me to do a post about stories and bunnies I have terrorising me? I ask in the (very vain!) hope that if I do so they might stop bothering me so much and let me write the little buggers?
Mainly SG-1 but there are some B5, Doctor Who and I thought I saw an Andromeda one hop past too (and y'all know that a certain angelic avatar is going to show don't you?!)
Brought Vol 2 of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection on sale in HMV on Monday... So notable as it has the cartoon 'What's Opera Doc?' on it. Which rates alongside 'Duck Dodgers in the 24th and a half century!' as one of the greatest cartoons EVER!
And
torn_eledhwen, no, I haven't stopped singing 'Kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit' to the tune of the Ride of the Valkyres yet!
It's a very LONG story!
Have done some research on sorting out my ipod (I dropped the thing and broke the LCD - big oops!) it's going to cost about £100 but when you consider that a new one (even one of those snazzy photo ones) is going to cost twice as much... it's a reasonable price... kinda!
I'm justifying by saying that I can't read the bloody screen so I'm kinda stuck right now!
Have recieved an e-mail back from Sky (sattellite TV company) regarding when they're going to restart showing BSG. The good news? They have the rights!
The bad news - they haven't gotten it scheduled yet! :headlaptop: Damnit, I can just about cope with the d/ls but I want this on the telly downstairs (huge bloody thing - widescreen!) in PAL, not on near squinty on my lappit! GRRRR!
And it's still going to be 2006 before we find out what the hell's going on... Mind you, hopefully then Sky will put it out and by the time BSG draws to a close... Doctor Who will be restarting
*WOOT!*
How's this for joined up thinking? Got a letter yesterday from the opticians - please book in for an eye test. Which was nice of them but they've told me this at least three times... the last time being when I went to see them for a contact lens check a couple of weeks ago... and that I have an appointment booked in with them for Friday afternoon?!
Oh well, next time the admin at work throws a curve ball, I at least know it's not as bad as a certain UK opticians chain! For the UK sibs, they're the green one who advertise with the slogan that beings 'should have gone to...'!
*sigh*
Expect many an entry tomorrow night - 1st late night at work... Oh joy!;)
