Star Trek question for the Hive Mind

Question: Do you think they have media/news services the way we do now in the 23rd Century/Century Star Trek is set in?

I know they do in the Babylon 5 universe but in the ST universe? I'm not so sure...

I have no idea, but it would make sense, wouldn't it? So I'd say yes.

Looking at the question from a 'universe operations' standpoint, I'd say yes, there would have to be a viable media outlet to serve all the people who are not in some way connected with Starfleet. Given the somewhat socialistic nature of the Trek 'verse, I'd say there are probably only one or two. (Yes, I know Babylon 5 only ever mentioned ISN, but B5 was a very capitalist society and you just KNOW there had to be news wars.)

So yes, feed it. Although, since it's Trek, wouldn't this bunny actually be considered a tribble? ;)
