Okay, so it makes for a good subject line;)

I don't know if this is common knowledge, but as I know that there are good number of folk out there, on my flist and elsewhere that use either Netflix or some organisation that uses the same model. Meaning that passing this along would be a Good Thing. For information you understand;)

So there you go - learn something new everyday and all that;) If anyone has any good advice, please pass it along. I'd be glad to hear of it!

That's how damn cold it is out there! Admittedly, it could be a lot worse, could be Boston (don't they get snowed under as of Thanksgiving to Paddy's day?) but it's damn cold out there and it's bound to only get worse... according to the weather people!

So what else is happening?

'Trying' to write;) And fighting for every damn word but I persevere (or however the hell you spell it!;) Got the first one done - now got to get to work on the next story in the series.

Am currently watching the first season dvd of 'War of the Worlds' TV show - it's all very good but the picture quality is... vhs quality! You don't realise just how good quality DVD is until you see something like this. It's not a complaint but if they're going to release 'The Sentinel' (which is looking more likely with each passing day) I hope that the quality is more along the lines of MacGuyver rather than this!

I'll write up a more coherent review another day.

Oh and regarding all the signal to noise about MS and Stargate... I'm glad to report that there has been a happy conclusion....

In this bulletin - Due South comes to R2 DVD, BSG gets a Third Season, SG-Atlantis references both Star Wars and BSG and Threshold gets a Monster rating of 'Meh'.

It's my last free Thursday night until Christmas!

Yup - as term starts next week, so do my Thursday night shifts... and how do I know this? Because Channel 4 have slated to show a rather interesting drama about Elizabeth I at 9pm next Thursday :headlaptop:
On the brightside - I start to get Friday afternoons off too... so it balances out... somewhat!

I've decided to cut my ties with Screenselect. I was with them for over a year and I thank them for helping me to discover a whole range of stuff that I would never have been able to from other sources... 'La Belle et Le Bette', 'Stargate: SG-1', 'Throne of Blood', 'Farscape', 'A Matter of Life and Death'... the list goes on but given that it's been over a month since I asked them to send out Season 2 Farscape as my top choice... it's time to take my business elsewhere.

So I ask my flist this... I've also got the remainder of S1 Andromeda to get through too as my top choices... Sooo if my new rental company decide not to go with my selections in the order I've asked for... will it really matter?
i.e. will I find out something that will competely screw up my enjoymnent of the show if I watch some episodes out of order?

I also need more films to add to the list too... Any reccies anyone? I'll try most stuff... just not horror.

Lessee - what else? More students today - thankfully that's pretty much it until the Nursing cohorts start (same day as SG-1 S9 does... shiny!) The car has gone back in for the fixing to be done so it can pass it's MOT - hopefully my sister can take me in tomorrow, so I don't have to face the bus hell again.

I got some feedback for 'Carpe Diem' :does the dance of joy: And what's more they said they wanted to see more Jacob/George/Selmak! :faints: I don't recognise the e-mail address but... good grief! There is someone as loopy as me out there?!

I shall do a more 'fandom' related post over the weekend... I still have 2.09 of BSG still to watch and stories to reccie too. Oh and no doubt to whinge about the cost of car repairs too;)

I've just finished watching the finale of the first series of 'Farscape'. It's going into the post to you tomorrow.

As a matter of GREAT urgency, can you please send me the discs for Season 2... like YESTERDAY?!

Weight Watchers - one and half on... I hate my life!:(

I promised that my next posting would be more frivolous in my next posting. Life goes on and all of that. BBC are saying that the death toll has now risen to 50, with still more expected as there are still bodies at one of the sites...

Before I go, I have to cook some dinner for my sister and get ready for my pedicure tomorrow (I have about 20+ polishes, all the colours under the sun and I have to try and choose a colour... this could take a while!:D) I caught a about 20 minutes of 'Andromeda'

Which I admit, I have a soft spot for. Not just because it had Michael Shanks running around in leather in one episode (hubba HUBBA!) but because it was good fun... and the eyecandy was something else but can someone explain something to me...

What's with the Barbie clone? Doyle, I think she's called... I understand that she's taking Rommie's role (because avatars can't have babies... guess Gabriel didn't get that memo!:D) but... it's like comparing Daniel/(Rommie) to Jonas!
Just... NO!

Especially as she's taking screen time (and valuable drooling time!) from the lovely Rhade... hot daymn!!

As I said... can't get more frivolous than that!
